How to turn Your Fears to Profits – Part 3

You can only convert fears into profits when you identify the types of fears that you are facing. Today I am going to tell you what those Profit Stealing Fears are. These concerns not only keep us from generating more income, but they also keep up from expanding our relationships and enhancing the lives of others. Let’s just admit it together. There are things that out there that can scare you spitless.
 
While this post is for friends and fellow co-laborers in the Direct Service/Sales Business, the principles will work for anyone.
 
You see, we are all salespeople. If you have a regular job, you sell you time, skills, and daylight hours to someone who is selling a good, product or service. You are working to fulfill their dreams. If you are a government worker, you trade your time, skills, and daylight hours to be paid by the taxpayer’s for you time.
 
Here are the Six Big Fear Factors that keep people from going after their dreams.
 
1.     Procrastination and Laziness.
2.     Fear of Failure.
3.     Fear of Rejection
4.     Fear of Success
5.     Fear of What Others Think
6.     Fear of the Unknown.

 
Would you like some tips that will help push your fears into profits?
 
First – Get a fresh perspective on fear. Fear is only a negative thing if you believe that it is.  Instead of seeing fear as a nerve-racking, dream stealing life stealer, look at it as an adventure, a growth opportunity. It can be as great as rappelling down the tallest building in your town or as small as talking to a stranger.
 
Second – Change your perspective on rich. Let’s face it, the root of our fear of trying something new and different is that we will crash and burn. What if we fail? What if we are rejected?  The truth is – you might. Moreover, if you do not take the risk, I double dog guarantee that you will not fail.
 
Theodore Roosevelt is one of my favorite leaders and his words
 
“It is not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled, or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs and comes short again and again, who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, and spends himself in a worthy cause, who at best knows achievement and who at the worst if he fails, at least, fails while daring greatly so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.”

Here is an action plan for you.
 
Pick a fear; anyone will do.
Write it down.
Now, confess you mistake, ask forgiveness, ask that girl out, share your business opportunity with someone. Write your mom, dad brother, or sister that letter. Take one step to push back the fear.
