Understanding Women?

Understanding Women's Brains by John Thurman

If you are a guy, you know that women's brains never take a rest. They are wonderful at multi-tasking. While I remember when our kids were little, my wife could cook, clean, talk on the phone and take care of two kids all at the same time. It seems that they never stop.

The picture on the left is a plasma globe, you might remember them from your tenth grade science class, or maybe you have seen them in a gift or gag shop at the mall. Well, to me this is a great picture of how women's brains work. The are constantly using up energy, never stopping, always thinking, planning and worrying. If you don't believe me, just try sitting down and watching television while she does housework. Don't worry, she will find something for you to do.

Men, on the other hand, tend to compartmentalize their brains. Said anotherway, our brains are like self storage units. We may have a hundred rooms with a hundred doors, but none of them are ajoining. We have a work partition, a play partion, a dad partition, a lover partition and a great big "Nothing partition." The "Nothing Section" is the TV watching, computer gaming part.

You can learn to a little more about how women think, but you will never figure it all out. A friend of mine, Mark Gungor
is former youth pastor turn comedian and educator has a great DVD set that deals with this in his Tale of Two Brains DVD. Take a look at his site for some great tools that will help you and your woman in your relationship. His material is really "man friendly."
